Bennett inks NHL deal with Coyotes

The Arizona Coyotes have signed former Los Angeles Jr. King Beau Bennett to a one-year, two-way contract. The 27-year-old forward has 200 career NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, New Jersey Devils and St. Louis Blues under his belt.

The 27-year-old forward played five games with Belarus-based Dinamo Minsk (Kontinental Hockey League) in 2018-19. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound Bennett has registered 24 goals for 64 points in 200 career NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, New Jersey Devils and St. Louis Blues. He has also collected 19 goals for 91 points in 104 career American Hockey League games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Chicago Wolves.

Bennett, who played a season of juniors with the British Columbia Hockey League’s Penticton Vees followed by two years of NCAA Division I at the University of Denver, was originally drafted by the Penguins in the first round (20th overall) in the 2010 Entry Draft.
